A municipality born from the merger of Agra, Gentilino and Montagnola, Collina d'Oro has for four decades been the address of choice for international clientele choosing Lugano. The concentration of forfait residents here is higher than in any other Ticino municipality.
The municipal multiplier is among the lowest in the canton — a concrete factor on the forfait calculation. Typical properties are detached villas on 1,000-5,000 sqm of park, with lake views from the north-east, built between the 1960s and the 2000s, often the subject of high-end renovations.
